The law
of accumulation is closely related to the law of compounding effect. The
differences are small and can still make a huge difference. It’s important that
we master this law as well as we master the law of compounding effect. The Law
of Accumulation simply says, “A small thing accumulated over time can become
a big thing."
As per
this law everything great and worthwhile in human life is an accumulation of
thousands of tiny efforts and sacrifices that nobody ever sees or appreciates.
This also means that these tiny efforts aggregate like a snow ball. A snowball
starts very small, but it grows as it adds millions and millions of tiny
snowflakes, and continues to grow as it gathers momentum. There are three areas
where the Principle of accumulation works like magic and they are i.e.
Knowledge, Finance and Experience.
Any
person with a large knowledge base has spent thousands of hours building that
knowledge base one piece at a time. I have come across couple of brilliant
knowledgeable professionals who are the experts in their respective fields. No
wonder, all of these guys must have aggregated their subject knowledge base by
taking baby steps every day consistently to makes them extremely valuable in
the marketplace.
Every
large fortune is an accumulation of hundreds and thousands of small amounts of
money hence take any amount of money that you can right now and begin to save
it. These tiny savings will become a large
fortune because it creates a field of energy and triggers the Law of
Attraction. As a result, you begin to attract even more money - and like that
snowball, it grows, adding to your fortune.
This
fact gets further corroborated by looking at the people who fails to put the
initial savings aside in the beginning of their career which renders them poor.
However, the beauty of this principle is that it can be embraced however late
in career and still achieve the most important goals.
The
third area where principle of accumulation really works is experience. As
the old adage says experience makes a man perfect. All successful people by and
large have far more experience that the average. Experience counts whether bad
or good. Hence take decisions fearlessly without thinking too much on the
outcome since even there can be lot of learning even in failures!
Take
steps however small, every single day to reach closer to your goals- Be it your
knowledge, finance and experience. “Count on many little drops to make an
ocean” The law of accumulation can apply to all areas of life, not just
your business. If there is neglect in your personal, spiritual or professional
growth, you can rest assured that decline in these areas is sure to follow.
